 [Scenario] - one of my subordinates had tried to swindle her way out of taking the closing shift. Keep in mind she has no leverage, and no credibility whatsoever to argue, and given the fact that she is behind on her work, I'm a reasonable person, but I don't accept half-assing or failure in any of my work, or in this case office...
Subordinate: BO$$, Can I talk to you?
BO$$: Sure, I'm all ears.
Subordinate: ...I'm not trying to complain, but I have been closing 2 days out of the week, and I just think its a little unfair, why can't ****** close one their own?
BO$$: Well, where are you with your work?
Subordinate: I'm all caught up...
BO$$: Last time you said you were caught up, you had stacks of work hidden in the cabinet...
Subordinate: Those were done, but just needed to be logged... 
BO$$: No, then you were NOT done. Work thats "DONE" and still needs to be worked on is NOT DONE
Subordinate: Well you said you would review closing hours and the possibility I wouldn't close.
BO$$: Upon review, you haven't shown me any progress to consider changing hours around. 
Subordinate: [ROLLS EYES]... fine... Whatever... fine... 
BO$$: Not to mention you have taken more personal days than I have bathroom breaks.
Subordinate: ... ... ...
 When people just have the audacity to come at me and tell me I'm being unreasonable. I don't like to micro-manage, but its the only way $hit gets done.

So today I had a recollection of my Industrial /Organizational Psychology class and couldn’t help but watch a clip of myself getting called out by the professor… He is a pretty cool professor, don’t get me wrong, it just so happens he happen to crack jokes in lecture on this particular day on ME!… lol dope class though!
